Addressing the prevailing presence of SUBHEALTH syndrome in urban cities, our Health Management Division has undertaken an intensive research on the topic and developed lately a comprehensive, self-administered diagnostic tool on subhealth assessment – the Subhealth Quotient (SHQ) Instrument. The Subhealth Quotient Instrument includes all major indicators that reflect subhealth syndrome, in accordance to WHO’s four major factors on healthy life style -------- physical, psychological, social relationship and environmental, as well as a thorough review of scientific reports concerning subhealth.
        The SHQ instrument aims to help the respondents in learning more about their own health status and vulnerability to subhealth risks. In addition, from the diagnostic feedback of the instrument, respondents can gain a better understanding of the key symptoms relating to subhealth. They will also be given some practical advice on necessary actions of intervention. Enterprises or institutions that endorse such assessment will also learn much about the overall health status of their employees, so that pertinent measures can be taken to improve the existing health situation and effect higher productivity and a more positive attitude at work.
